ABOUT ME

Lynette Love currently resides in Raleigh, NC.  A wife, mother and grandmother, she enjoys reading and writing about history. She has always enjoyed Civil War history and has a strong interest in Freedmen Schools and the United States Colored Troops (USCT). Lynette also has developed an interest in the role Contrabands, Freedmen and Camp Servants played in supporting the Union and Confederate Armies. And yes, her interests include other kinds of “low key-geeky stuff.”

Her first love in writing centers around writing Bible studies and facilitating small group studies. Lynette’s first published book is "How Will I Know The Way." It was birthed as a result of her heart cries to God. In a conversation with God she shared the following of her concerns with Him:

" I don't really know much of your Word despite growing up in the Church. I also find many parts of the Bible difficult to understand and I am challenged to know how to apply it to my every day life.  And God, no offense, but the truth is I find much of the Bible to be quite boring.  Plus I confess that I don't truly know your will for my life."

God is a rewarder of those who seek Him.  He took a woman with a lack of understanding and opinions about the Bible being boring and replaced them with a deep love for His Word. He also taught her how to literally "feed" on His Word and pray it over the people and circumstances in her life.
